WOLVERINES

Welcome to the official site of the Utah Wolverines.
Utah's Premiere Football Organization.

History:

The Wolverines are the brainchild of Ed Cerise, Jeremy Smith, and Dave Barrett. All three of these individuals are former Utah County Blitz players who have ventured out to put together an elite team to compete with the highest profile teams in the country. These individuals were responsible for putting together the most menacing defense that Rocky Mountain football has seen in many years. Don't expect any let down with the Wolverine defense as many former Blitz Defensive and Offensive standouts are continuning the winning tradition and joining the Wolverines.

Mission:

Our mission is to better the community with our skills and entertainment. We believe in the power of a team and the commitment and responsibility of an organization. Our stability, accountability, union of players and the tie to the community play an important role in our everyday lives.

The Utah Wolverines Football Organization was founded July 31, 2003, in South Jordan, Utah. The primary objective for this organization was to field a football team built to win championships. This team would primarily consist of players from the Salt Lake Valley, giving area athletes an opportunity to play football close to home. The Wolverines will participate in the Rocky Mountain Football League (RMFL), which has been in existence since 1997. The RMFL consists of teams from Utah, Idaho, and Montana. These three areas will play local games as well as intra-state games during the regular season. A champion will be crowned from this pool of over 20 teams. The Wolverines expect to be the team that is crowned RMFL Champion.

In the past, Salt Lake Valley football players were forced to play flag or travel up to three hours just to play fully geared tackle football. Today, as a member of the RMFL, the Utah Wolverines are here to support these players' football careers. The Wolverines will travel anywhere from two to fifteen hours to play opposing teams in this league and compete to earn the status of being honored as Rocky Mountain Football League Champions.
